Therapy that is sensitive to cultural differences and trauma-informed, utilizing multiple approaches to promote healing.

Therapy for Children, Teens, and Adults
LGBTQIA+ affirming and culturally responsive counselor that provides a safe space to explore personal goals. I believe that we are made of many parts and that our overall wellness cannot exist without mental clarity. I value therapy for my own personal self, and as a result, I value and cherish the opportunity to be a part of someone else's therapy journey. Everyone is different so I approach therapy with each person in mind.
I provide a trauma informed and culturally sensitive space where I utilize my trainings in EMDR, biofeedback and psychotherapy with children, teens, and adults. My areas of expertise include trauma/PTSD/Complex PTSD, anxiety, nervous system regulation, general life stress/changes, and stress management.

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy technique used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including:
-
Trauma and abuse:
EMDR can help individuals cope with the emotional and psychological effects of past trauma and abuse.
-
Other mental health conditions:
EMDR may also be used to treat other conditions, such as phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and eating disorders.
-
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD):
EMDR is an evidence-based treatment for PTSD, helping individuals process and reduce the distressing symptoms associated with traumatic memories.
-
Anxiety disorders:
EMDR can help reduce anxiety and panic attacks by addressing the underlying beliefs and memories that contribute to these symptoms.
-
Depression:
EMDR can help individuals identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs that perpetuate depression.
EMDR works by stimulating the brain's natural healing process while focusing on the traumatic memory or event. This can help individuals process and reprocess the memory, reducing its emotional impact and allowing them to move forward.

BIOFEEDBACK
Call to ask about virtual Biofeedback!
Biofeedback is a technique that helps individuals learn how to control their body's physiological responses to stress and anxiety. By using sensors to monitor heart rate, muscle tension, and other bodily functions, biofeedback can provide real-time feedback to help individuals learn how to manage their stress levels and improve their overall well-being. With practice, biofeedback can be a powerful tool for reducing stress and improving mental and physical.
